  • Brief Introduction for Ball Grinding Mill

    A ball ball grinding mill is a type of grinder used to grind materials into extremely fine powder mainly for use in mineral dressing processes.
    The ball mill is a key equipment to grind the crushed materials, and the ball mill is widely used in powder-making production line including cement, silicate, new-type building material, refractory material, fertilizer, ore dressing of ferrous metal and non-ferrous metal, glass ceramics, etc, and the ball mill can grind various ores and other materials with dry type and wet type.

     

    Working Principles for Ball Grinding Mill

    There are two kinds of ball mill, grate type and overfall type due to different ways of discharging material.
    The ball mill is a horizontal rotating device transmitted by the outer gear. The materials are transferred to the grinding chamber through the quill shaft uniformly. There are ladder liner and ripple liner and different specifications of steel balls in the chamber. The centrifugal force caused by rotation of barrel brings the steel balls to a certain height and impact and grind the materials. The ground materials are discharged through the discharging board thus the grinding process is finished. 

    Installations for Ball Grinding Mill


    A) installing the floor plan is based on user-based engineering and design, should be according to the installation diagram direction, location, and space;

    1.1 installation

    Test run:
    Ball mill installation is complete, the inspection, empty test run can be carried out, test run of ball mill ball mill operation by skilled workers, and strict adherence to the mill for safe operation.


    (A) empty operation continuous operation time of not less than 12-24 hours, problems found in the operation should be resolved in a timely manner.
    (B) no-load operation commissioning load test run can be carried out properly, load commissioning should be carried out in phases, the load operation should be carried out depending on the discharge of feed, avoid steel ball and cylinder liners are not necessary for grinding testy damage.


    1, include appropriate materials and one-third the number of steel balls (maximum ball weight refer to the total of ball mill charts) commissioning of 12-24 hours.
    2, joining per cent quantity of steel ball run two-thirds hours.
    3, according to ball mill discharging conditions, production of qualified products, taking into account similar actual amount of ball mill in mineral processing plant, determine the sound of ball mill ball weight, not less than 72-hour test run.


    (C) the increase in load and length of the test run, to gear and running of speed reducer gear (temperature rise, noise, tooth contact) as the basis to determine. Before the tooth contact accuracy does not meet the design requirements, may not be running at full capacity.
    (D) the test run in cooling, lubrication system should work normally, main bearings, transmission bearings, reducer temperature should be normal.
    (V) in two-thirds number of steel ball 24-48 hours after commissioning, check and tighten all bolts again.
    (F) commissioning needs to be carefully recorded.
